How Safe are Your Papers?

How Safe are Your Papers?

In preparation for an upcoming project, PHA recently did some research on fireproof/waterproof filing cabinets.  We are not looking to take the place of a safety deposit box, rather, we want to protect documents in your home from water or fire damage.

Sentrysafe seems to have the item that fits the criteria:fire/water proof document storage

  • It is has a very tight seal to prevent water seepage into it
  • It is rated for 1/2 hour for fire up to 1550*
  • It's interior dimensions (11.5"H x 13.9"W x 14"D) will hold about 3-1.5" binders + 20 file folders.
  • At 72lbs, it's pretty sturdy
The application PHA will be using this for will be storage of family photographs - photographs handed down through the decades as elders pass away. The current recipient is not emotionally ready to make a decision about their outcome. But, by safe guarding the photos, when the time is right, the integrity of each photo is guaranteed.
As a professional organizer, PHA works carefully with each client to assist them in making decisions regarding their personal property based on where they are "at". Being sensitive to a client's needs and helping them move on takes a different route each time.
